Saturday Fireworks & Asphalt Racing Postponed; Sunday Fireworks & Dirt Racing Still On

Asphalt racing cancelled; fireworks moved to Saturday, July 8

WEST HAVEN, Vt. – Devil’s Bowl Speedway has postponed the Saturday portion of its “Firecracker Weekend” Independence Day celebration. A forecast of rain and thunderstorms at race time on the evening of Saturday, July 1, has forced speedway management to cancel the event’s Asphalt Track racing schedule and postpone its massive fireworks display one week to Saturday, July 8.

Sunday night’s “Coca-Cola Firecracker” racing and fireworks show for The Dirt Track at Devil’s Bowl is still on as scheduled at 6:00 p.m. with the Sprint Cars of New England and the Enduro Series in action, along with Sportsman Modifieds, Super Stocks, and Mini Stocks.

The Saturday postponement creates a huge event for The Asphalt Track at Devil’s Bowl on July 8, which now has a special early starting time of 6:00 p.m. The race will be presented by Brown’s Quarried Slate and Brown’s Orchard & Farm Stand of Castleton.

The fireworks on Saturday, July 8, will highlight a jam-packed event to kick off the highly anticipated “Fast ‘N’ Dirty Weekend” for the Mr. Rooter Pro Truck Series, along with double-points Mid-Season Championship races for Sportsman Modifieds, Super Stocks, and Mini Stocks. In addition, the Asphalt Track race for the Enduro Series has been rescheduled to Saturday, July 8, as well as the annual Thomas Dairy Kids Bicycle Giveaway.
