Dirt track event rescheduled to Saturday, October 25
WEST HAVEN, VT – Devil’s Bowl Speedway’s final dirt track event of the season has been postponed by early morning rain showers and a poor forecast for the rest of the day on Saturday, October 18. The AutoSaver Ford/Springfield Buick-GMC “Vermont Freedom & Unity” event has been rescheduled to the following Saturday, October 25, with a start time of 2:00 p.m.
“Our track crews worked late into Friday night to prepare the racing surface, but the weather changed unexpectedly and we woke up to rain on Saturday morning. Unfortunately we have no choice but to reschedule to next Saturday,” promoter Mike Bruno said. “We will try again on the 25th and we’re planning on a great show.”
The AutoSaver Ford/Springfield Buick-GMC “Vermont Freedom & Unity” event on Saturday, October 25 will feature a 100-lap Sportsman Modified race, the winged Sprint Cars of New England tour, a special event for the Bear Ridge Speedway Sportsman Coupe division, and Renegades and Mini Stocks.
General admission for the Saturday, October 25 event is $20 for adults and free for kids 12 and under. Pit gates will open at 10:00 a.m., with the grandstands open at 12:00 noon. Hot laps will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by Sportsman time trials at 1:30 p.m. Green flag racing action starts at 2:00 p.m.
