Vermont-based chain introduces new “Bond Auto Bucks” fan rewards program
WEST HAVEN, Vt. – Bond Auto Parts, one of Vermont’s most recognizable homegrown brands, will again return to Devil’s Bowl Speedway in 2016. The Rutland County stock car facility will celebrate its landmark 50th season with a full 27-event schedule of asphalt and dirt track racing sanctioned by NASCAR as part of the Whelen All-American Series.
Family owned and based in Barre, Vt., for 60 years, Bond Auto Parts has grown to be America’s 17th-largest auto parts chain. Bond Auto Parts serves its customers through 47 stores in Vermont, New York, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts, including Devil’s Bowl Speedway’s “home” location at 141 Strongs Avenue in Rutland, Vt.
Bond Auto Parts will continue its major sponsorship role in the Sportsman Modified division on the half-mile Asphalt Track at Devil’s Bowl for the fifth consecutive year and has also expanded the “Hard Charger” bonus program in the Renegade and Mini Stock divisions.
Drivers in the Renegade and Portland Glass Mini Stock classes will continue to enjoy the popular “Hard Charger” award program. The driver who gains the most positions in each feature race will win a $50 Bond Auto Parts gift card. The program has been in place on the Asphalt Track for four years and has expanded in 2016 to include drivers on the 3/10-mile Dirt Track as well. In addition, the eight track champions across all divisions on asphalt and dirt will each receive a $100 Bond Auto Parts gift card at the annual awards dinner. All told, Devil’s Bowl racers have won well over $6,000 in Bond Auto Parts gift cards since 2012.
Addison, Vt., driver Chuck Bradford jumps into the Bond Auto Parts Sportsman Modified division as a rookie in 2016. He won seven “Hard Charger” awards last year in the Mini Stock class, raking in $350 in bonuses.
“The Hard Charger program helps racers so much you can’t even imagine,” Bradford said. “I always used the gift cards for parts with my Mini Stock, and now with the Modified I’ve been at Bond all winter getting oil and things we’ll need for maintenance during the season. The Bond program at Devil’s Bowl is great; it’s a huge help.”
The drivers won’t be the only ones feeling the love from Bond Auto Parts, though, as the company has introduced the new “Bond Auto Bucks” fan rewards program. One race fan at each event during the season will be eligible to win a Bond Auto Parts gift card valued at $25, simply by purchasing a general admission ticket.
Devil’s Bowl Speedway’s 50th season of racing will include NASCAR Whelen All-American Series-sanctioned action for both the asphalt and dirt tracks, totaling 27 scheduled events; opening weekend is slated for May 21-22.
