Rutland, Vt., dairy renews agreement for second season
WEST HAVEN, Vt. – Devil’s Bowl Speedway, home of “Vermont’s Fastest Family Fun,” will welcome Thomas Dairy back as the presenting sponsor of its Kids Club for the track’s 50th season of stock car racing in 2016.
The Kids Club expanded dramatically in 2015 with the support of Thomas Dairy and included kids of all ages in fun, free activities that got them into the action. Thomas Dairy Kids Club events included racecar rides, bicycle races, a guided tour or the pit area, a poster contest, penny and candy scrambles, and a “Christmas in July” event that raised toy donations for local charity. The ever-popular Interstate Batteries “Fun Bus” race track tour was also a regular part of the Kids Club.
“Our family has always loved Thomas Dairy milk, and their support is what allowed us to grow the Kids Club program at Devil’s Bowl last season,” Devil’s Bowl owner Alayne Bruno said. “There are tons of kids at the track, including our own kids Austin and Johnny and their friends, and it’s great to give them something extra. We’ll be bringing back many of the activities from last year and bringing in some new events for our 50th season.”
Thomas Dairy began in 1921, with the family’s Rutland, Vt., farming roots in dating back to 1854, and the brand has been a staple in Vermont ever since. Owner John Thomas is excited as well to once again support youngsters in the local Rutland-area community.
“We love to support activities for kids and the program that Devil’s Bowl Speedway offers us a great way to give back to the kids of the community,” John Thomas said. “The kids love the special events that are offered to them at the track. The pictures of some of the activities from last year were worth a thousand words, and the smiles on the youngster’s faces certainly show how much they enjoyed the Thomas Dairy Kids Club activities. We are proud to be a part of this program again in 2016.”
Devil’s Bowl Speedway will celebrate its landmark 50th season in 2016 with a full schedule of NASCAR Whelen All-American Series-sanctioned stock car racing and family entertainment on both its half-mile asphalt track and three-tenths-mile dirt track.
